An unlikely prompt to "get it out" arrived yesterday when a very confused bird began belting out his morning song with all his winged might.......at 2:30 in the morning. I was apparently still awake with a head full of random thoughts.
Here they are in no particular order:
Japan on my mind- I have been fascinated with all things Japanese lately including food, DIY projects, supplies and upcoming events. I plan on making this lovely string garden and attending this event which also happens to support the relief efforts in Japan. Peep the sweet poster made by my bloggy buddy, Nikki Mueller, of Not Made in China.
My new cookbook obsesssion:
Gardening: The selection and planting of my summer vegetables took up a good 14 x 14 foot portion of my headspace early in the week. I'm pleased to say that most of my seeds, plants and herbs are in the ground with the exception of a few peppers. I go all hashbrowns trying to coordinate the garden with the above cookbook obsession. Le sigh.
As if I needed something else to obsess about, I've been spending inappropriate amounts of time looking at hand-lettered images and creating a list of supplies to have a go at it myself. Really, Keia? Is this necessary? No, but it sure as hell unlocked some creative juices.
